Helping organizations seeking to mitigate the impact of secondary trauma on their workforce and work culture, will benefit from our Cultivating Compassion Services. Our program is a powerful prelude or supplement to other trauma-informed initiatives.
We believe effectively combating compassion fatigue in human service organizations requires implementing practices to shift culture.
Using the cultivating compassion model, comprehensive services support your organization’s efforts to make lasting and impactful change, resulting in less turnover and greater mission success. The Cultivating Compassion model is brain-based, and research informed. It focuses on cultivating individual and organizational mindsets, skill sets and habits that promote healing and compassion in the face of secondary trauma and chronic stress.

Implementation plans are custom designed to meet the unique needs of your organization and include:
Comprehensive Organizational Assessment: An organizational assessment will be provided to examine five areas of organizational culture including: policy and procedures, operationalized values, staff satisfaction, leadership practice and customer relations.
Professional Training Plan: Training sessions will be provided to all employees. Training objectives include increasing understanding of the effect of secondary trauma on the brain and body, how to effectively combat compassion fatigue, and cultivating mindsets, skill sets and habits that build resiliency. Customized training plans can also include building the capacity for in-house trainers to provide on-going training modules.
Change Team Facilitation: Consultation services will support the facilitation of an agency change team to define objectives, develop measurable outcomes and execute strategies for successful model implementation.
Leadership Coaching and Consultation: One-on one and group coaching will be provided to agency leaders as needed to support lasting change.
